We’re supporting 3 campaigns: Cheryl Turpin for VA Senate District 7; Alex Askew and Nancy Guy for House of Delegates.  WHY VIRGINIA? In 2017, 1 vote decided control of the Virginia House of Delegates. Virginia State legislators elected in 2019 will draw up Virginia’s US congressional district map and affect national elections. • There is so much to do, many voters we want to influence and Republicans we want to send packing. We have to flip the Senate, strengthen our House majority, get out the vote. In a multiple-choice phonebank, we'll be calling for Ammar Campa Najjar in CA50. Or, you may GOTV for Mississippi elections in Nov, 2019, where the governor and other top offices are up for a vote. There's a chance of a runoff election for Louisiana governor in November. And, we're hoping to begin work in Arizona, identified as a must-flip state if we are to win back the Senate. Much depends on your efforts. We plan to work strategically to wrench control of government from Trump and his Republican enablers. Come out and help us do it. We will send you address info a couple of days prior to the phonebank, so look for a text or email with private address then.

Unbelievable as it may seem, former Representative Darrell Issa who got run out of CA49 has declared himself a candidate for CA50. Indivisible has identified El Cajon precincts as must-wins to carry Ammar to victory in 2020. We aim to canvass, organize and deliver El Cajon precincts during the primary and then in the general election come November 2020. We encourage canvassers to own a precinct and commit to making every effort to deliver those voters. We're meeting at the Starbucks at the corner of Main and Magnolia in downtown El Cajon. See you there at 10:30 on Sunday. Wear a hat, bring some water, and make sure you have the Minivan app downloaded on your smartphone.

    • Join Indivisible Berkeley in phoning Virginia voters – this is a “last chance” election before redistricting. Each vote really matters!  Republicans spent decades working to control state legislatures and gerrymandering to create their majorities. We can’t cede state level races to them.
